Motor-racing fans in good voice at flash mob

Over 30,000 spectators took part in a flash mob during the 2019 China Touring Car Championship at the Shanghai International Circuit in Jiading recently to sing “My Country and I.”
Famous singers Ping An and Xi Yanjuan as well as comedian Wang Rugang, seal artist Han Tianheng, TV host Tang Meng, national model worker Li Xianghua and national virtue model Zhao Xianzhen led the singing.
Lion and dragon dancers added their color to the performance as people in the crowd waved national flags and applauded.
A huge national flag was slowly unfurled at the main entrance to the stand and the crowd erupted in cheers. People sang out: “We love our country! We love Shanghai!” and expressed their best wishes.
The flash mob was organized by the Jiading District Committee of the Communist Party of China and the government. The activity was aired on Dragon TV on August 5.
It is part of a series of events planned by the CPC Shanghai Committee and the city government which is being broadcast on media channels that include Shanghai United Media Group and Eastday.com.
