World Hoops Challenge
THE JUMP10 World Hoops Challenge is being held at Pudong’s Rucker Park from August 16 to 19, featuring 16 teams from 12 countries including Australia, Canada and United States.
China have four teams in the four-day tournament. The 24 players — six in each team — were selected from over 10,000 street basketball players from 16 cities around the country through preliminary competitions held from March to July.
All teams will take part in group and knockout rounds and fight for a US$200,000 cash prize. The final will be held on August 19 together with an all-star dump contest. Russian Basketball Association president and former NBA player Andrei Kirilenko was in attendance at the opening day round of matches.
