Shares fell in Asia yesterday as skepticism set in about the recent upward momentum in global markets given rising confirmed coronavirus cases.
Japan’s benchmark Nikkei 225 sank 0.9 percent to 22,587.89. South Korea’s Kospi lost 0.1 percent to 2,183.61, while Australia’s S&P/ASX 200 dropped 0.6 percent to 5,941.10. Hong Kong’s Hang Seng tumbled 1.1 percent to 25,477.89.
