GM China appoints new leader

General Motors has announced a new leader for GM China as the company continues to strengthen its global leadership team.

Julian Blissett, currently senior vice president of international operations, was appointed executive vice president and president of GM China, succeeding Matt Tsien, effective April 1.

Tsien was appointed executive vice president and chief technology officer, replacing Jon Lauckner, who will retire in July. In his new role, Tsien will report to GM President Mark Reuss. He has led GM’s Chinese operations since 2014, during which time the company has achieved unprecedented growth.
