Lamborghini Rides High
China is likely to surpass the United States as the biggest market for the Italian sports car giant Automobili Lamborghini later this year, its President and CEO Stephan Winkelmann said yesterday.
Last year, Lamborghini sold 206 cars in China alone - a year-on-year increase of 150 percent from the 80 units it sold in 2009.
In first quarter of this year, 60 Lamborghini cars were delivered, nearly double the 35 cars sold in the same period of last year.
The car maker plans to have 14 official dealers in China by the end of this year from the existing nine dealers.
