China 'still has confidence in the euro'
China still has confidence in the euro, Foreign Minister Yang Jiechi said in Germany, expressing a willingness to use a variety of means to support the debt-ridden European Union.
"As a comprehensive strategic partner and a major trading partner of the EU, China remains confident in Europe and the euro," Yang told German counterpart Guido Westerwelle in Berlin.
"We will work with the international community to continue using a variety of means to support all of the European Union's efforts in responding to the sovereign debt crisis," Yang said. A stable Europe will benefit all countries.
