THE central bank has urged financial regulators in Wenzhou, Zhejiang Province, to loosen their grip on private lenders as the most important part of the city's ongoing financial reforms.
Zhou Xiaochuan, the central bank governor, made the remarks during a recent visit to the city, the bank website said yesterday.
