NDRC: Economic factors stay stable

CHINA’S economy remains healthy with jobs being created and inflation under control, and the government is ready to cope with any potential risks of a rapid slowdown, officials with the country’s top economic planner said yesterday.
Cong Liang, an official at the National Development and Reform Commission, said there is no large-scale unemployment and “new jobs are still available, indicating solid fundamentals. Besides, inflation is well controlled, so the economy remains healthy.”
Li Yangzhe, another NDRC official, said that the body “has strengthened efforts to track the performance, and is ready to take action if the conditions deteriorate.”
