US urged to fulfil its promises over high-tech exports
CHINA'S Ministry of Commerce yesterday urged the United States to live up to its promises and loosen restrictions on high-tech exports to China.
At the China-US Strategic and Economic Dialogue earlier this month, the US pledged to relax controls on exports of high-tech products for civilian use and reform its exports regulatory system.
Ministry spokesman Shen Danyang said those commitments had been taken as positive signals sent by the US government, but he added: "We have not seen any concrete actions."
