Strategic industries fuel recovery
SHANGHAI stocks rallied yesterday on new strategic industries after three-straight days of decline. The Shanghai Composite Index recovered 0.31 percent to 2,194.43 points. Turnover was 109.73 billion yuan (US$17.82 billion).
For the week, it gained 4.389 points.
“The National Development and Reform Commission announced on its website that it plans to introduce new policies to boost strategic industries, such as cloud computing, biological industry and e-commerce, dragging up share prices in new strategic industries,” said Wang Xiaogai, analyst at Hithink RoyalFlush Information Network Co.
Shanghai East-China Computer rose 7.83 percent to 26.16 yuan, while Weifang Beida Jadebird Huaguang Technology was up 4.53 percent to 5.54 yuan.
Inspur Software jumped 6.06 percent to 27.29 yuan, while Yonyou Software gained 3.22 percent to 15.38 yuan.
