THE Ministry of Industry and Information Technology yesterday approved the second stage of a trial for China's 4G TD-LTE technology.
China is the major promoter of the TD-LTE standard and is also a major owner of the standard's core patents. TD-LTE can cut bandwidth costs sharply.
