Platform helps vendors
ALIBABA Group yesterday officially launched a cloud service platform to offer e-commerce server and consumer management service to vendors.
The new platform, combining the data service of Tmall, Ali Cloud, and China Civilink, a data and software service provider that Alibaba bought last year, will help online sellers enhance their efficiency.
Online vendors on Tmall and Taobao Market Place can tap Alibaba's services in inventory control, supply chain and data management support.
"There is strong demand from vendors who want to know customer behavior on Taobao better and make sense of data," said Wang Wenbin, vice president of TMall.
During the two months' trial from May, Alibaba said it has gained over 20,000 vendors.
