HK’s busy Land Registry
THE Land Registry of Hong Kong said yesterday that 43,636 sale and purchase agreements for all building units were recorded in the city in the first half of this year, down 7.7 percent from the second half of last year but an increase of 27.6 percent year on year.
The total worth of these agreements was HK$311.5 billion (US$40 billion), a decrease of 7 percent from the second half of 2014 but an increase of 46.6 percent year on year.
There were 53,238 assignments of building units, up 0.5 percent from the second half of 2014 and up 36.3 percent year on year.
The total consideration for these assignments was HK$311.97 billion, up 7.6 percent from the second half of last year and 58.3 percent from a year earlier.
