China Southern orders 10 B777 jets
CHINA Southern Airlines has agreed to buy 10 long-haul Boeing 777-300ERs to expand its capacity to meet growing demand in Asia-Pacific and China, Boeing said yesterday.
The plane is one of the world's largest twin-engine airplanes that can carry 365 passengers over 14,685 kilometers.
The new planes will expand the airline's capacity by 7.9 percent, China Southern said yesterday. The planes, costing 298 million yuan (US$47.4 million) each, will be delivered before 2016.
The deal requires Chinese government approval,
