A TOTAL of 120 trains were shipped from the port city of Qingdao in east China's Shandong Province to Sri Lanka yesterday.
The diesel electric multiple units, manufactured by CSR Sifang Co, have a maximum speed of 120 kilometers per hour, according to the company. The shipment is the third delivery from the company to the south Asian country. The company exported 180 trains to the country during 2000-2008.
