Jianggan eyes high-quality development in key areas

JIANGGAN District plans to real­ize high-quality and integrated development in the area of digital economy, opening-up and improving the business environ­ment, according to a plenary meeting of the CPC Jianggan Committee on August 1.

“By seizing the historical op­portunity of the integration of the Yangtze River Delta region, Jianggan District can not only accelerate its upgrading but also raise the position of the district on a larger stage,” Teng Yong, Party secretary of Jianggan, said.

The key for seizing the op­portunity is to fully utilize the district’s three advantages — the Hangzhou East Railway Station transportation hub, the friendly relationship between the district and Shanghai’s Changning Dis­trict and Anji of Huzhou City in Zhejiang, and the talent pool of private economy and key scien­tific innovation platforms.

To implement the strategy, Ji­anggan has set up a leading team on the integration of the Yangtze River Delta region to coordinate the action. And Teng called on all parties and organizations in the district to join hands under the guidance of the leading team.

Jianggan has published an implementation proposal on the integrated development of the Yangtze River Delta region. By 2035, the integration of the Delta region should reach a high level, especially in the areas of infrastructure, public service, market supervision and resources allocation.

The district plans to focus on six aspects and accelerate industry upgrading of finance, scientific innovation, talent, transporta­tion, IT infrastructure and the pilot trade zone.
