Pot of camellias launches dream garden

The rooftop space of the multi-functional activity room in the Dushi Gangwan residential area in Jiading’s Zhenxin Community has become a “dream garden” that offers residents a leisure and social space.
After a resident brought a pot of camellia to the rooftop, more and more residents were attracted to the rooftop bringing all kinds of bonsai, potted plants, and tables and chairs.
Seeing the rooftop space gaining popularity, the residential committee was inspired to build a public activity space.
The committee set up a green space with manicured lawn, vegetables and flowers.
The vegetables will be sold at a charity bazaar and the money collected will be used to purchase ornamental plants and seeds so as to arouse environmental protection awareness of residents.
An “oxygen bar” area has been set up to provide a public leisure space for residents to drink tea, chat with each other and do fitness exercises. Residents can also apply to the residential committee if they want to organize parties and themed activities in the public space.
Young people can take a rest in the area to chat with friends after work.
In addition, various cultural performances produced by residents are also staged in the space to draw bring the residents closer together.
