Over the past year, Minhang District has made 600 “small wishes” for youngsters come true — mostly those of children from unprivileged families. Youngsters posted their wishes online for social workers or concerned enterprises to help fulfill their wishes. Most were simple and practical, like the desire for a schoolbag, a pencil case or a bicycle.
