A smart parking management system has been put into use in Wujing Town. Ground lighting directs drivers to available spaces. Billing starts automatically when the car is parked and locked, and fees can be paid through QR codes on WeChat or Alipay. The system is a pilot project in Shanghai after successful implementation in Beijing last year.
