Shanghai Sen Lian Biomedical Corp has become the second technology company in Minhang to go public on Shanghai’s STAR Market, a Nasdaq-like board for growth companies. It made its debut on October 28. Shen Lian Biomedical was one of the nation’s earliest pharmaceutical companies and distinguished itself with research into synthetic peptide vaccine for foot-and-mouth disease. Minhang has supported innovative startups with a 92-million-yuan (US$13.2 million) fund.
