Songjiang power at Beijing airport

Made-in-Songjiang technologies were used in the construction of Beijing Daxing International Airport, one of the world’s largest.

The airport, which opened on September 25, is nicknamed the “phoenix” for the shape of its five extending structures connected to a main hall and features many pioneering innovations.

Songjiang-based Chint Electrics Co has been providing the airport with power transmission and distribution equipment since 2016, including substations, transformers, high- and low-pressure tanks and direct current screens.

In May last year, a power supply system at the airport’s rainwater pump station was formally put into operation to ensure emergency sets at the airport function well during rainy seasons. In November last year, the company achieved a one-off success in power transmission at the airport’s light station and switching station.

Strict standards on reliability were adopted in the construction of the airport. The power transmission and distribution equipment Chint provided has run safely for over three years.

“We have dispatched a professional and all-around service team to stay in the airport and offer an on-site service for about 10 months. And we will continue to provide reliable power transmission equipment for the airport,” the company said.
