Dragon TV celebrates rebirth of China with drama

TO commemorate the 70th anniversary of the founding of the People’s Republic of China, five new high-quality homegrown TV dramas will be aired in the forthcoming weeks on Dragon TV.
These new productions include a contemporary military drama “The King of Land Battle,” an entrepreneurial series “On the Road,” a period drama “The Galloped Era,” an epic drama “SNIPER,” and “Great Age,” a drama about scientific and technological innovation.
All of the productions are based on people’s real-life stories — people who have been engaged in and witnessed the transformation of the country over the past few decades. Humanity and delicate human emotions are explored on the big screen.
Helmed by celebrated directors Kang Honglei and Zhang Hanbing, “The King of Land Battle” points a fresh lens at China’s tank men. It depicts the growth of today’s young soldiers and their faith to protect the country and its people.
Starring award-winning actors Liu Ye and Ma Yili, “On the Road” records the changes and boom of China‘s express delivery industry. It follows an ordinary delivery man’s entrepreneurship in spite of difficulties.
The period drama “The Galloped Era” pays tribute to the country‘s first generation of engineers devoted to the development of the domestic electric locomotive making industry.
Epic series “SNIPER” portrays the destinies of two snipers, who used to be partners and close friends, but then find themselves on different sides.
“Great Age,” starring Feng Shaofeng and Yuan Shanshan, is centered on a group of scientists and engineers who manage to develop a world-famous enterprise. It is also a reflection of the country’s scientific and technological progress.
Producers revealed that these dramas will be screened at 7:30pm every night for the next three months.
