You Guangming, 63, was born in Gongyi City, central China’s Henan Province, where the historical Gongxian Kiln was located, and has been interested in the making of porcelain wares since childhood.
The Gongxian Kiln is a major site for Tang Dynasty (AD 618-907) tri-colored glazed pottery, and You leads his group to pass forward the ancient skills of making porcelain wares.
With the business development from a workshop to a company, You made continuous efforts in porcelain making and research. Now he has finished more than 100 replicas of typical Gongxian Kiln porcelain wares.
The artistry of Gongxian Kiln porcelain was listed as provincial intangible cultural heritage in 2015.
