Guangdong Province is hot spring capital of China
Guangdong Province is the most popular hot spring destination in China, while more than 60 percent of Chinese hot spring tourists are female, a Ctrip report revealed based on big data analysis.
There are more than 3,000 hot spring hotels in China, growing over 60 percent in three years, and the provincial capital of Guangzhou in Guangdong has more than 200, the most among all cities. People from southern areas of China prefer hot springs more than northern, with Shanghai, Chengdu, Hangzhou and Shenzhen among the biggest source cities. Hot spring hotels in Guangzhou, Shenzhen and Beijing are the most expensive, reaching over 1,000 yuan (US$145) per night on average, while Fuzhou in Fujian Province the cheapest, about 400 yuan.
