Fine weather likely for Sunday race participants
A WARM and cloudy weekend is on the cards with the maximum temperature rising to 24 degrees Celsius on Sunday, the day of the Shanghai International Marathon.
From noon on Wednesday, the city was affected a dry cold air mass. Temperatures yesterday morning dropped to 12 degrees in downtown areas while most of the outskirts saw them below 10 degrees.
Today will be even colder and it is likely to be the coldest say since autumn began. Temperatures in suburban areas will range between 5 and 7 degrees.
Tomorrow, however, will see them rise to 22 degrees and 24 degrees on Sunday as warm air replaces cold.
After the weekend, another series of cold air will roll in with strong winds and rainfall on Monday and the mercury dropping by nearly 10 degrees.
