Travel operators offering refunds
Some train services from Shanghai to Zhengzhou were suspended yesterday due to the torrential rain in central China’s Henan Province, China Railway Shanghai Group said.
They include the G2616 from Shanghai Railway Station to Zhengzhou East, and the G1806 and G1814 from Hongqiao Railway Station to Zhengzhou East. The suspension also involves services with stops in Zhengzhou. Refunds are available.
Shanghai-based Trip.com is offering full refunds for tourists who booked hotels in Henan for yesterday and those who bought tour packages to Henan departing yesterday. The refunds also apply to people whose tours have been disrupted by weather.
Online travel operator Tuniu is providing full refunds or free changes on accommodation, ticketing, vehicle rental services and tours for tourists to Zhengzhou whose trips cover yesterday and today. Other operators including Tongcheng-Elong and Alibaba’s travel site Fliggy are also giving refunds.
