Bucs, Jets sack coaches
The New York Jets and Tampa Bay Buccaneers didn’t waste any time on Sunday, sacking their head coaches shortly after their losing National Football League seasons concluded. Tampa Bay fired Dirk Koetter after a 32-34 loss to the Atlanta Falcons ended the team’s third season without an NFL playoff berth. Tampa Bay finished the season 5-11. Since taking the job in 2016 Koetter is 19-29 overall. The Jets fired fourth-year coach Todd Bowles after the team’s 3-38 loss to the New England Patriots concluded a 4-12 season.
