Women’s 10K race held in Changning District
The 2018 Shanghai International Women’s Elite 10K Race was held in Changning District yesterday, featuring a total of 4,000 runners.
It was the largest women’s 10-kilometer race held in downtown Shanghai, with 3,500 participants competing in the 10K main race and the remaining 500 taking part in the 2K health run. Chinese runner Li Zhixuan won the 10K race clocking 32 minutes and 42 seconds, followed by Milgo Serser Alice Cherotich (34:03) of Kenya and China’s Li Meizhen (34:32). Both start and finish lines for the race, organized by Shanghai Donghao Lansheng Event Management Co, were set at Zhongshan Park. All volunteers and referees for the races, however, were men.
