Bochy’s retirement plans
San Francisco Giants manager Bruce Bochy, who has guided the club to three World Series titles, said on Monday he will retire after the 2019 Major League Baseball season. The 63-year-old American’s 25th and final career campaign as a manager will see him try to add to a haul that includes four National League titles and World Series victories in 2010, 2012 and 2014. Bochy is among only 10 managers in MLB history to win three World Series crowns, the other nine having been enshrined in the Baseball Hall of Fame. “I will be retiring after this season,” Bochy said in a tweet released by the Giants.
