Perez to miss full season
KANSAS City Royals catcher Salvador Perez, the 2015 World Series Most Valuable Player, will undergo tendon replacement surgery today and miss the entire 2019 Major League Baseball season. The Royals said on Tuesday that Perez, 28, who suffered the injury a week ago during a workout, will need Tommy John surgery after being examined by a specialist in Los Angeles. If surgery and rehabilitation go well, the Venezuelan might return in time for the start of the 2020 season.
