THE Shanghai Sports Federation said yesterday that a National Basketball Association fan event scheduled for the day in the city was canceled.
The Shanghai federation, in a statement on Chinese social media platform Weibo, said the cancellation of the fan event was due to the inappropriate comments made by the NBA’s Houston Rockets General Manager Daryl Morey and the inappropriate statement of NBA Commissioner Adam Silver.
