AI startups showcase technologies

Startup AI firms, covering restaurant robots, financial information sorting, smart drone management and traffic control, showcased their technologies during an AIWIN roadshow, part of the World Artificial Intelligence Conference to be held in Shanghai this month.

Among them were KeenOn, which makes robots for restaurants and can produce around 20,000 robots a year for sale or lease.

Shanghai-based Tigerobo highlighted its AI applications in the financial information sector which can help users search and access data and information in seconds from a file of several hundred pages.

Investors, industry giants and experts from Microsoft, Tongji University, Volcanics Venture and other organizations attended the roadshow.

They offered their professional opinions, potential partnership resources and investment opportunities which will speed up the process of AI applications becoming part of daily life, organizers said.

AIWIN has chosen 40 projects from 514 entries in a competition whose winners will be announced during the conference in the Pudong New Area and Xuhui District. WAIC will be held from August 29 to 31.
