A 28-year-old woman died on September 10 after drinking crazily at a wedding banquet in Wenchang of south China's Hainan Province.
A video clip widely shared on social media shows the woman surnamed Yang, who was the bridesmaid, was constantly asked to drink baijiu, a strong distilled spirit.
Soon afterward, Yang seemed to lose consciousness and two men were seen carrying her.
She was then made to leave on a luggage trolley.
Yang was sent to the hospital in the early hours of September 11. A doctor surnamed He said when she was brought there at 12:15am, Yang was completely unconscious. Emergency treatment failed to save her life.
According to media reports, Yang died from alcohol poisoning, which led to vomiting and then choked her to death.
Further investigation is still going on.
