Four Australian banks say their ATM network is suffering technical problems, with customers around Australia claiming problems withdrawing cash.
Westpac, St George, BankSA and Bank of Melbourne customers began reporting the technical fault on social media on Sunday afternoon and by 8:30pm (AEST) the problem had not been resolved.
"Our ATM network is experiencing issues, and transactions are being declined," Westpac said on its official Facebook page.
"Cash withdrawals using other bank ATMs or EFTPOS are available as usual."
Cardless cash withdrawals were also affected.
The banks, who are owned by Westpac, said their online, mobile and phone banking services were working.
"We're working hard to restore services as soon as possible," they said.
Several customers have taken to social media to complain about the inconvenience.
"I tried to make a deposit in 5 different ATM!!! In one of them I waited 10 minutes!!!! It was impossible! Very disappointed," one Westpac customer said.
The banks said they would refund any fees for using rival bank ATMs during the outage.
They were unable to say when they expected the problem to be fixed.
