Celtics take thriller over Knicks

Amare Stoudemire's apparent winning 3-pointer on the buzzer was ruled out by a video replay, giving the Boston Celtics a 118-116 win over the host New York Knicks yesterday - their 11th straight NBA win.

Paul Pierce made a tiebreaking jumper with 0.4 seconds left to put Boston ahead, but Stoudemire's long shot appeared to have given New York a dramatic win, and an eighth straight victory.

However a video replay showed the ball was clearly still in Stoudemire's hands as time expired.
