Governor answers citizens’ concerns
Jiading Deputy Party Secretary and Governor Lu Fangzhou answered residents’ questions during a live interview on Radio Shanghai on July 23.
Last year a pig farm was reported due to its impact on the neighborhood because of the pungent smell.
To solve the problem, measures were taken including adding probiotics to feed and cutting down on stock.
Lu said the improvements needed to be supervised by villagers and they could visit the site to see the solid work done and offer advice.
As to the issue of an unlicensed cybercafé that has been there for a long time in Xuhang Town, Lu said the key was to develop multiple layers of cultural services in rural areas to meet people’s needs. Meanwhile, such unqualified facilities would be cracked down on soon.
Other items brought up during the interview include the cooking fumes from some restaurants in the Zhenxin Subdistrict and the uneven surfaces on Liuxiang Road due to land subsidence.
After the session, Lu also attended an exclusive interview for district governors. He briefed them about Jiading’s latest progress on village revitalization.
A relocation base, for example, has been built for villagers in Huating Town and the project will be carried on in terms of ecological environment protection, characteristic housing and settlement of industries.
Lu said plans will be done efficiently for the sake of the cost and the environment to integrate the village layout, renovate village housing and expand financing.
