Jing’an comes up with a music video on fireworks ban
POLICE in Jing’an District have launched a music video to highlight the city’s firework and firecracker ban. The song’s tune is based on Romanian band O-Zone’s hit number “Dragostea Din Tei.”
Local band “Rainbow Chamber Singers” helped in the video’s production while Jing’an District police officers penned the lyrics.
Some of the police officers also starred in the music video. It also features Gu Chao, goalkeeper of China’s men’s national football team and a Jing’an native, and Wang Zheng, a commentator with the Great Sports Channel.
Gu said he used to buy a lot of firecrackers and set them alight with his family to celebrate the Spring Festival when he was a little boy.
“Now I understand the negative impact of firecrackers on environment and public safety. I took part in the project to urge fellow residents to observe the ban and contribute to make our hometown a better place,” he said.
All fireworks and firecrackers within the Outer Ring Road are banned.
