Foreigner caught ducking Metro fare in Shanghai

A foreigner was caught ducking through a turnstile in Xinzhuang Station on Metro Line 1 on Sunday, the city’s Metro operator said on Wednesday.

A clip from the surveillance footage, with the female passenger’s face blurred, was released by the Metro on its Weibo and WeChat accounts.

The passenger, who was not identified, claimed she had lost her ticket. She was fined 84 yuan (US$12.6).
