Delivery Man Helps Lost Toddler
Program Code: 090934617032300020
A food delivery man in Yongjia County, Zhejiang Province, helped a lost child on a chilly night on March 14.
The courier, Zhou Yu, was on his way to deliver food at 11:40pm when he saw a two-year-old boy walking barefoot on the street, crying and looking for his parents.
Zhou stopped his motorbike and asked the boy where his home and parents were. But the boy said nothing and kept crying, so Zhou called the police.
The boy was only wearing thin pajamas, so Zhou put his own coat on the shivering kid to keep him warm.
Police arrived at the scene at 11:55pm. Zhou stayed until the boy was safely in the police car.
When the parents saw their child at the police station at 12:30am they burst into tears.
Zhou explained the cause of his delay to his customers, who expressed their understanding.
According to media reports, the boy's home was just 100 meters away from where he lost. The parents went out to eat a midnight snack after the boy fell asleep. But he woke up later and couldn't find his parents. So he ran out of his home to look for them and got lost.
