A female security guard in Bengbu City in Anhui Province was applauded by neitzens after a video surfaced, showing her trying to protect an old woman from falling off an escalator.

The video shows an old woman losing her balance on an escalator going up and falling backwards in a museum. Her fellow riders fail to hold on to her.

Chu Xiumei, security personnel from the museum, who saw the woman, ran up and threw her body against the woman’s back to hold her from falling. Another person pressed the pause button at the bottom of the escalator to stop the escalator.

The old woman was not injured but Chu suffered some scratches on her back.
