Video of Traffic Police Chasing ‘Fake’ Taxi Driver Goes Viral
Program Code: 0909346161005008 Source: Tencent
A video of a traffic police chasing and arresting a black cab driver in Shanghai on October 15 has gone viral online.
A traffic cop stopped a taxi between Sichuan and Wujin roads in the city’s Hongkou District at 8:50am as the driver was not wearing the safety belt.
But the driver took off when the police demanded his driving license and taxi operation certificate, both of which were fakes.
The police chased the driver and stopped him at a crossroads. The driver refused to get out of his car and tried to flee again. The police finally managed to bring him under control with the help of residents nearby. The driver said he had bought the fake license plates and the “fake” taxi online for 15,000 yuan (US$2,226).
Some Web users commented as follows:
Well done! The police is really handsome!
The police should punish him so that he does not dare to drive again.
I should say the first-person perspective is quite interesting.
The traffic police is such a risky job in Shanghai.
