Family of Four, Including Pregnant Woman, Dead in Horrific Traffic Accident

A family of four died on their way home on November 23, when a car struck their motorized three-wheeled vehicle at an intersection in Jiyang, Shandong Province.
As footage of the accident shows, the family’s vehicle was turning left when a white car drove through the same intersection at high speed. While the car’s driver swerved and attempted to brake before the collision, the car failed to slow down in time and ended up colliding with the family.
The driver of the three-wheeled vehicle, surnamed Sun, was declared dead on the scene. His two grandchildren and pregnant daughter-in-law were rushed to a hospital where doctors failed to save their lives.
The driver of the car, surnamed Yan, was detained by police. The cause of the crash is still under investigation.
