Street magician detained for groping breasts while claiming to perform tricks

A street magician was detained on June 15 in Chengdu, capital of southwest China’s Sichuan Province, for grabbing several women’s breasts while performing magic tricks on the streets.

Another person, who cooperated with the magician to shoot videos, was also detained.

The video went viral on June 14. In it, the street magician, dressed in black, stopped several women passersby randomly on the streets and asked them to participate in his act. He touched their breasts while pretending to balance a coin.

Netizens were furious after seeing the video and slammed it as sexual harassment.

The magician surnamed Xu, 26, apologized on his Weibo account on June 15.
