Alliance of Delta FTZs established

An alliance of free trade zones in the Yangtze River Delta region was set up yesterday, with representatives of FTZs in Shanghai as well as Jiangsu, Zhejiang and Anhui provinces signing an agreement.
The establishment of the Yangtze River Delta FTZ alliance is an innovative measure to implement the decision and deployment of the central leadership, which will inject new impetus into the construction of the four pilot FTZs and build a new platform for the high-quality integrated development of the Yangtze River Delta region, according to an official statement yesterday.
In the next stage, guided by market demand, the alliance will base itself on the existing functional platform resources such as the capital market service base of the Delta, and the professional trade service platform of the Shanghai FTZ, so as to strengthen and optimize the service functions of trade facilitation, investment facilitation and financial innovation, the statement said.
