Bosch partners with Baidu on smart vehicles

GERMAN auto supplier Bosch and Chinese Internet giant Baidu signed a cooperation framework agreement in Germany last night, witnessed by Chinese Premier Li Keqiang and German Chancellor Angela Merkel.

The two companies plan to further strengthen their cooperation on automated driving technology and smart mobility service in China.

As a corporation partner, Bosch will be involved in Baidu’s Apollo project by providing sensors, software and accurate map service for automated vehicles.

Bosch and Baidu will also support the establishment and development of relevant laws and regulations of automated driving in China.

Bosch announced that it will cooperate with Chinese map providers Baidu, AutoNavi and NavInfo on high-definition maps for automated driving earlier in April this year.
