C919 in taxiing test
CHINA’S C919 narrow-body jet has completed an initial taxiing test at the Pudong International Airport in Shanghai, in preparations for its maiden flight, the Commercial Aircraft Corp of China (COMAC) said yesterday. The jet will continue to carry out taxiing tests at low, medium and high speeds at the airport, said Wu Guanghui, deputy general manager of COMAC, the plane’s maker. The schedule of the maiden flight still depends on other tests and technical evaluations, Wu said. The first C919 rolled off the assembly line in November 2015. Since then, the plane has completed testing of its system integration and on-board systems.
