CAFTA a great help

THE China-Australia Free Trade Agreement (CAFTA) has facilitated the import of 7.38 billion yuan (US$1.1 billion) of goods from Australia through Shanghai ports since it came into effect a year ago, data from the Shanghai Customs showed. CAFTA, which came into effect on December 20, 2015, also helped reduce 480 million yuan in tariffs. Products, which benefited from CAFTA, include beef, coal, wine, pharmaceuticals and wool.
