Companies gear up production
CHINESE companies are accelerating production and capacity as new orders rise despite concerns about credit and prices, an industry survey said today.
The index for business conditions rose to 60.47 from 56.8 in August, said the MNI China Business Sentiment Survey. The index was just under the peak of 61.51 posted in April this year but is well above last December's rank of 35.2.
An index figure above 50 indicates that business activity is growing or improving, while below 50 shows that it is shrinking.
The survey of Chinese listed companies suggests that they are still wary of a reversal in fortune, however.
