Ctrip partners with Singapore Changi Airport to develop more tours in southeast Asia
SHANGHAI-BASED online travel operator Ctrip signed a strategic cooperation agreement with Singapore Changi Airport yesterday to tap into more diversified tours in southeast Asia.
The two sides will work on new itineraries combining Singapore with beach resort travel including Bali Island, Maldives and less visited islands like Lombok and Bintan, and the Changi Airport will serve as a transfer between the two legs, according to the agreement.
Travelers can experience the charm of Singapore as a garden city, and have a journey at tranquil beach resorts in a single trip, said Jane Chen, CEO of business development and destination marketing department of Ctrip.
Changi Airport is a major air transport hub in Asia Pacific. More than 100 air carriers are operating flights to more than 300 cities and regions in the world at the airport. It links 47 cities in Southeast Asia and 32 cities in China.
