Dumping penalties on chemicals
China’s Ministry of Commerce said yesterday it will impose anti-dumping duties on ethanolamines imported from the United States, Saudi Arabia, Malaysia, and Thailand.
In a final ruling on anti-dumping investigations, the MOC said domestic industries have been subject to substantial damages due to dumping.
Duties will be collected at rates ranging from 10.1 percent to 97.1 percent starting from today for five years.
The MOC launched anti-dumping investigations last October after complaints from domestic producers. Ethanolamines are used in surfactants, pesticides and pharmaceutical intermediates, chemical necessities and personal hygiene products.
